Te Kura o Kimi Ora are proud to present to you Ngā Waka o te Moana Nui a Kiwa.  Upon enrolling in to Kimi your child/ children will be put in a waka.  The purpose of our waka is to learn more about our famous Polynesian Navigators, their waka and inquire into the knowledge and skills that were used to navigate our vast oceans in their time.

"Titiro whakamuri, kia anga whakamua" - Look to the past in order to move forward.

As a staff we will plan school-wide events that cover the NZ Curriculum and we will participate as waka in these events.  The placings of each waka will represent the amount of points won, at the end of the year a waka will be named champions with the kaihoe of that waka participating in a Day for Champs!

Whānau, we may need to call on you to judge at an event or two, so please let us know if you would like to be part of that panel!
